Our Production
From the outset of MUEVO, the founding idea was to serve the museum and wider cultural sectors with bespoke display solutions of supreme quality.
In 2023, we initiated a large-scale renovation of our production, upgrading our equipment with cutting-edge machinery, to guarantee top quality and delivery speed, while ensuring maximum cost-efficiency.
To achieve this, we have developed our own manufacturing facility in order to meet and exceed our clients’ needs and expectations.
With the use of self-financed investments, we continue to elevate our production department to date, reflecting our commitment of nurturing a culture of excellence, craftsmanship and innovation.
MUEVO’s production unit is housed in a specially developed space of 3000 sq.m. in an industrial zone just one hour away from our headquarters.
Our fabrication unit now allows us to sustain almost the entire production line of our museum constructions in-house and is divided in eight departments, as detailed below.
Production Engineering
This department bridges the gap between design and fabrication, acting as the link between our engineering teams and production workshops. Combining technical expertise with hands-on knowledge of our manufacturing capabilities, the department optimizes processes and safeguards feasibility, ensuring that all drawings are efficiently translated to manufacturable parts and assemblies.
Metals Workshop
Metal components account for a great part of our constructions. From metal frames and sheet metal panels to axisymmetric components and high-precision custom metal parts, our metals workshop is capable of processing all types of metal to cover the needs of distinct projects.
Glass Workshop
Glass is the most important material in museum showcases, which is why we directly import top-quality anti-reflective glass. Glass panels are prepared for painting or assembled using UV-cured glues, or structurally bonded with metallic systems, depending on the needs of each exhibit. Glass assemblies then cure under controlled conditions.
Panels Workshop
This is where panels from different materials, such as wood, metal and honeycomb, are shaped into showcase components. The process is facilitated by a 3-axis CNC router and a 5-axis CNC machine, while the machining is controlled by CAM software.
Carpentry Shop
Apart from the machinery used for panel-processing, the carpentry department also benefits from universal wood-working machines that can process panels and sections from all types of natural and composite woods. The final constructions are formed through mechanical assembly or gluing.
Painting & Surface Preparation Shop
Our finishing department contains a large spray booth with a high-quality air filtration system, as well as isolated and environmentally controlled drying areas for proper curing. To ensure an impeccable finish for all our end products, our surface preparation unit also benefits from an automatic wide belt sander.
Lighting & Electrical Engineering Shop
This is where special exhibition lighting and electrical appliances are integrated into our showcases. All alarms and security mechanisms, temperature, humidity control and data-logging systems, as well as audio-visual equipment and any other electric applications, are all quality-tested before their placement in our constructions.
Pre-assembly & Quality Control
Our constructions are always fully assembled for quality-testing on our premises before their delivery to the installation site. Note that our installation team always consists of members from our production team – their knowledge of the constructions is invaluable for the final stage of the delivery process.
