“In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul”

Fetiye Mosque, Athens

Organised by the Directorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities and the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the travelling exhibition “In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul” finally made its way to Athens, opening at the Fetiye Mosque Museum in July 2025.

The cultural route of Apostle Paul is inspired by his second missionary journey (50–52 AD) through Greece, which led to the creation of the first Christian communities.

Tracing the path of the Apostle’s mission and incorporating monuments of global cultural significance, the exhibition highlights the rich multicultural identity of Athens up until the end of the 6th century AD. Under this light, the location of the exhibition at the Fetiye Mosque, in the heart of the Roman Agora, symbolizes the timeless coexistence of different cultures and religions within the fabric of the Greek capital.

In this context, MUEVO was honored to implement the museography of the exhibition, titled “In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul: Apostle Paul in Athens” and designed by the Directorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities.

For the purposes of the exhibition, our company developed a number of custom showcases and exhibit furnishings, while also undertaking the important task of fabricating the exhibit mounts that supported the splendid antiquities on display.
